If room55 ’s client built a hotel just for Millennials?
They arrive with a dog, a duffel, and three Zoom calls on their calendar. So the Wi-Fi? Has to really work.
Here’s what we’d build:
• Lobby = calm energy. Third-wave coffee. Design books. A pet-friendly welcome station.
• Rooms with good sheets and better silence. A meditation nook. Water bottle refill stations. Maybe a standing desk, just in case.
• Minibar becomes a wellness bar. Adaptogen gummies, magnesium spray and oat milk lattes in glass bottles.
• Late breakfast, slower brunch. Served with side conversations about burnout and Slack updates.
• Check-in via app. Room key on your phone. Spotify playlist on arrival. Dog treat at the front desk.
• Events?
Energy in the afternoon, clarity by bedtime. Golden hour DJ sets that wrap by 9PM. Burnout Book Club: unfinished books welcome.
• Marketing? Moody, quietly clever. This place doesn’t scream aesthetic - it just is. Playful.
Because Millennials want more than a bed.
They want a safe, soulful space to recharge, realign, and yes - send that one work email.
